EOD 8 and SRS 5 Suits and Helmets
Thousands of Med-Eng EOD 8 and SRS 5 Suits and Helmets are widely trusted by bomb disposal EOD/IEDD technicians around the world.
The Med-Eng SRS 5 was introduced in 1997 and is renowned for its mobility and integration with an SCBA respirator for CBRN blast threats. It features two interchangeable visors: the VBE-580 for search operations and the VBC-250 to accommodate an SCBA respirator.
The Med-Eng EOD 8 has been in service since 1999 and provided bomb technicians with significant improvements in protection over the EOD 7B suit.
The Med-Eng EOD 8 and SRS 5 protective ensembles are still readily available and well supported with formal spare parts programs.
