Designed Security, Inc. Optical Turnstiles consist of bollards in a parallel arrangement to provide pedestrian walkways. Persons traveling through the walkway are screened by the use of a conventional access control device, i.e.: card reader, proximity reader, etc. Audible and visual annunciators are used to communicate with the pedestrian concerning walkway usage and access control violations. Walkways may be confi gured to operate as bi-directional access control or as card-in/free-exit.
Designed Security, Inc. Optical Turnstiles provide effective access control with manned or visually monitored (CCTV) areas. They are effective at entrance and exit points in corporate offices and manufacturing facilities where controlled access is essential, but both aesthetics and pedestrian throughput is a major concern.
